Minimalist Abstract in Wine Tones

Created by Ms. Todd’s and Mrs. Whitener’s Casa Art students, this painting brims with the bubbles and colors of a carefully filled wine cellar.  In burgundies and terra cottas, this piece swirls like leggy red wines and brandies in glasses reflecting an autumn fire.  Every student helped paint this 4’ x 3’ canvas, imprinting it with their individual and group energy.
"Children of the World" Art Frame

Ms. Todd's and Mrs. Whitener's Primary students teamed to create this work of art.  The children imaginatively colored the cloth continents with fabric markers.  Next, they “mapped” the world using the Montessori insets to outline the continents and printed the continents' names.  The finished work was then mounted on fabric and framed in black.

Treasures of the Globe Batik Screen

Dr. Miller's Lower Elementary students painted the background with a rainbow of colors, then chose a monument from around the world and placed it on their rainbow.  They chose ordinary items like rice, buttons and stickers and scattered them over their work.  After placing them in the sun to dry, shadows of their chosen treasures left images on their fabric.  Their faces were in awe when they saw what they made after it had dried.

"Flags of the World" Wine Rack

Mrs. Schmidt’s Casa students hand-colored these international flags then pressed their handprint beside their work to add their personalized signature.  One day they will be able to write their name perfectly but today this is their precious signature, captured forever.  The flags were affixed to tiles that were attached to a solid espresso wine rack.  To match this theme, the Reeves family generously filled the rack with wines from around the globe.  The wine alone is valued at $250.
Art Nouveau Stained Glass Lamp
The Upper School Art students customized the look of this art nouveau styled lamp by crafting a shade of rainbow colors in elegant stained glass. Each student had total creative responsibility for the creation, firing, and fitting of their individual piece of the shade. All pieces were then assembled to complete this amazing eye-catcher.

Minimalist Painting in Yellow Tones

Every student helped paint this 4’ x 2’ canvas, imbuing it with their group and individual identities.
Solid Wood Art Easel

"The best journeys are taken with imagination." Ms. Todd's Casa students created finger-painted animals to roam all over this easel. They chose their own finger-painted people doing activities that children love to do all day. This piece will spark the imagination of your child every time they are ready to create.

The children selected their sea-life animals and carefully painted them using all the parts of their hands. They dotted the ocean floor with their little fingers to make the pebbles. They used Montessori learning tools to create the world on the top.
Antiqued Copper Frame & Mirror
Mrs. Carter’s Upper Elementary Art students hand-tooled the copper monument reliefs that make-up the customized frame for this 30” X 40” mantle-piece sized mirror. The children antiqued each relief and attached them to the frame to create this customized look. This impressive piece brings a sense of drama and history to any fireplace.
Pair of Mosaic End Tables
Mrs. Nathani’s and Dr. Miller’s Lower Elementary Art students inlaid this pair of charming end tables with colorful tile pieces to create a beautiful room. Each child was responsible for the design and grouting of his/her own area, which was then coated with a 2-part acrylic epoxy mixture.
Child’s Jungle Table and Chairs

Miss Marshall's Casa students discovered a gentle way to capture the heads of Amazonian jungle animals on this solid wood piece. Each child selected and painted the faces of their favorite jungle animals, using their hands. Watch out below — the children added a sneaky boa constrictor slithering beneath the table for a little extra jungle fun!

Every student helped paint this 4’ x 2’ canvas, imbuing it with their group and individual identities.
Blue Pottery Barn Beanbag Chair

Mrs. Schmidt's and Miss Marshall's Primary Art students drove all over this beanbag with cars decorated with international flags. Each student chose a flag, fabric-painted it, and added a special touch by drawing themselves behind the wheel. Their names have been embroidered onto their car, to identify their priceless contributions. (This beanbag has a lock on the zipper to ensure safety and is easily unlocked and washable.)
